tired, sore and :Awww Bum!:

So this morning when I went to leave the house to run a few errands before I had to hightail it to work and put in an 8hr day I stepped out onto our little back porch and put one foot on the steps to traverse the three tiers down to the ground, when before you knew it....I was on the ground, after having slipped, hitting my back and arm rather hard on the steps on my way down.  I will admit I sat there for a moment, stunned with the thoughts of "Oooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
running through my head, follow by......
"THAT HURT!!!!"
As I climbed back to my feet and painfully made my way back up the stairs to get some salt to sprinkle over the thin sheet of ice that covered the steps.  I then proceeded to make my way to town to put gas in my car before it died from lack of fuel, and then went on to Wal-mart to buy black ink and paper for the printer so that I could work on printing AND editing my book (Am through chapter 13, will get more done tomorrow, since I don't work until 3 or 4pm.

Anyway, the stairs incident only slightly overshadowed my day today (can you tell???) the rest of the day was rather good.  Had a conversation with the guy in the cubicle next to mine, turns out he was an english major at Michigan (or Minnesota I can't remember which) so we talked writing (as I'm reading through my 3-ring binder of the first 13 chapters of my book).
Upon returning to the house that is empty but save the cat (sleeping on the couch down stairs) and my fish (who is a great conversationalist.....) I made a very tasty turkey and brick cheese quesadilla, which I topped with my own special sauce (a combination of salsa and ranch dressing) I also have chips and salsa and a large glass of milk (it was pretty much heaven on a plate).  Now I think that I'm going to go watch "The Matrix" and attempt to sleep without causing my body too much pain...we'll see how that works out.
In the meantime I'm thoroughly enjoying Escala, and can't wait to listen to Andrea Bocelli as well. (Thanks Pam, I less than 3 you!) "<3"
G'night...

    3) Love the Matrix. Major love for Keanu in that movie.
    4) Escala is muy bueno. I'm glad you dig 'em, too. Andrea's not so bad, either. ;)
    5) Hope you heal up quickly. Ibuprofin and ice are your friends!
